About PREA
PREA was created to prevent, detect, and respond to sexual harassment and sexual abuse in correctional facilities. PREA was enacted by the Federal Government in 2003. The law requires correctional facilities to comply with specific regulations that provide for a zero-tolerance stance against any form of sexual harassment or sexual abuse between clients, staff, contractors, and volunteers.
BIMEC | Believe in Me Empowerment Corporation has a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual abuse and sexual harassment.
